Engineering recruitment firm Orion Group has undergone a drastic overhaul of its website, orionjobs.com to improve search engine rankings.

The company's search engine optimisation (SEO) ensures that giants such as Google and Yahoo have the best chance of indexing individual vacancies, reports Online Recruitment.

Orion's redesign has been completed care of online recruitment experts at HotLizard, which was also responsible for the job board at the Telegraph.

The site will also feature an easy-to-navigate system of links that allow users to take a no-nonsense route to vacancies, while offering otpimised RSS and jobs email options.

Last month HotLizard also found success with an SEO relaunch of the Ashley Kate Associates Group website, using a similar individual indexing technique for vacancies.

Commenting on the company's June venture, David Johnston, HotLizard business development manager, told Personnel Today that there had been a focus on keeping the site "simple and straightforward".
