Ecommerce solutions defying credit crunch

Effective online marketing is vital at the current time as ecommerce solutions defy the credit crunch, according to a commentator.

Oliver Stephen, marketing director of MBL Solutions, explains that because the online business world is not seeing a downturn, companies must take advantage.

"Evidence suggests that online activity and sales are bucking the downward trend and that's why now is the time to take a fresh look at your website, ensure that you're marketing it effectively, or even decide if you need a new site altogether," he explains.

Search engine optimisation is one such way of getting increased website traffic, he added.

His words appear to be backed up by recent research from PlusNet, which found that nine out of ten internet users see broadband as essential, and not a luxury, with many preferring to give up other things if they started feeling the pinch.

It was speculated that this was because the internet was a way of finding cheaper goods.

But will ecommerce solutions continue to fly in the face of the credit crunch, or will it begin to feel the effects soon too?
